  • New Steve Jobs Documentary to Premiere at SXSW 2015

It has been reported that Alex Gibney, an Oscar-winning documentarian has a new project on his hands, which will be premiering at the annual South by Southwest film festival (SXSW) next month. Gibney’s latest project is a documentary titled ‘Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine,’ which is about the influence Jobs had on the world with computers. The documentary is 120-minutes long and was made in partnership with CNN Films. Variety notes that the exact screening date has not been determined yet but is said to offer a "provocative and sometimes startling re-evaluation of the legacy of an icon."

This comes just as we reported that Aaron Sorkin’s Jobs biopic has already begun filming. Jobs marks an iconic figure in the technology industry as Apple has been a growing company worldwide. We believe his documentation is in good hands as Gibeny has won a Best Documentary Feature Academy Award for Taxi to the Dark Side in 2007 and three Emmy Awards for HBO film Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God.

Will you be watching Gibney’s documentary on Jobs and Sorkin’s biopic on the previous CEO? Let us know in the comments below and share your thoughts.
