  • Next Generation of Tweetbot for Mac Gets Teased on Twitter by its Developers

Tweetbot is a hugely popular Twitter client that is available for not only iOS, but also Mac OS X. Mark Jardine, one of the developers behind the Mac OS X version of the Tweetbot application has teased an image of an upcoming version of the software via his Twitter account, as shown above.

In the Tweet, Jardine says, "Full Speed Ahead. 2015 is going to be great." indicating that the software update will be released this year. As we can tell from the images, the new Tweetbot takes some design tactics from OS X Yosemite, including not only the transparency effects, but also the round profile pictures.

Tweetbot for Mac was recently part of a big debacle with newer users having issues logging in and the application being pulled from the Mac App Store because of it, although it was fixed following just a little while after and it returned to the Mac App Store. The new version of Tweetbot, when released, should not reproduce these problems for new users.

We'll continue to keep you updated on this release, so stay tuned!
