  • 'Slow Shutter!' is Currently Being Offered for Free From Apple's Apple Store iOS App

For a limited time, Apple's Apple Store application for iOS is offering a new free item that is usually paid from Apple's digital content stores.

The Apple Store application, which is separate from the App Store application, is offering the application Slow Shutter!, which is normally a $1.99 purchase from the iOS App Store, absolutely free. To obtain it: open the Apple Store application, go to the "Stores" tab, scroll all the way down, and then find the application at the bottom of the page. You may have to swipe to the right to see it.

The Apple Store application will give you a coupon code that can be redeemed in the iOS App Store and your Slow Shutter! application will begin downloading on your device. You will be prompted to enter your App Store password before the download begins.

Slow Shutter!, the application being given away, is a cool photography application for iOS that lets you capture long-exposure photographs. It lets you control the shutter speed so that you can control exactly how much light is allowed into the photograph. This creates extremely clear and detailed photographs.

The application's app description is included for you below:

Capture Long-Exposure photographs with Slow Shutter! Create beautiful photos of moving objects with features usually reserved for expensive DSLRs. Version 2.0 was designed from the ground up, we used feedback from users and experts to create the highest performance Slow Shutter app ever. Slow Shutter is now easier to use, more intuitive and offers the highest quality results. It just works!

    App Supports:
    - AUTO - Perfect for waterfalls, ghost photos and other moving objects.
    - LIGHT TRAIL - Capture hypnotizing photos of night traffic, fireworks, carousels and other moving lights.
    - NIGHT - Capture bright, noise-free photos in low-light conditions!

    Featuring:
    - Real time preview.
    - Full photo resolution support in Auto and Night modes. Maximum framerate is used in Light Trail - this can be modified in iOS Settings.
    - Adjust exposure in Light Trail and Night modes.
    - Adjust Freeze in Auto mode.
    - Tap “Shoot” button again to stop capture.

    Tip:
    - To improve sharpness use a tripod.
Note: Slow Shutter can be downloaded for $1.99 from this App Store link, but to get it for free, visit the Apple Store application on your iOS device. If you don't already have the Apple Store application, you can download it for free from this App Store link.

The problem is you cannot hand hold the iPhone with a slow shutter and it doesn't have a tripod mount of course. So not useless but almost so.

Except that you buy a cheap Joby mount for it, so this app is completely useful to anyone that does Photography with their iPhones.

This freebie appears to only be available in the U.S. - When I went to the Apple Store app, and followed the instructions from above, the app was not there. When I VPN & Location Faked my phone to the U.S., the app was there and downloadable

You have to use the Apple Store app.

I think you're using the App Store app.

      These are two different applications.
