  • Apple's Supply of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Have Officially Met Demand

Apple is officially matching supply with demand for the Cupertino-based company's latest handsets, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The devices, since the official launch last year, have all had waiting times for the device's to ship. Friday morning, that changed, and Apple's Web site is now showing users that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, in all configurations, colors, and carriers, are ready to ship an "In Stock."

Even Apple's SIM-free and unlocked iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which was launched just this week, is showing just 1 business day to ship the device on Apple's Web site.

The turn of events illustrate that Apple's ramped-up production over-seas has paid off and is finally meeting the demands of the company's global consumers. Over the holidays alone, Apple sold enough iOS devices to impact the iOS 8 install base significantly; the current amount of devices, including newly-sold ones, running iOS 8 at this point in time hovers around 68 percent, while other percentages are running iOS 7 and iOS 6 or earlier.

While most stores have iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in stock for those that don't mind just visiting a retail store or third-party authorized reseller around them, if you've been holding off to order yours online for a time when it wouldn't take so long to ship, then you can now do so and expect a relatively short amount of time for the device to be delivered at your doorstep.

Hate to that guy, but they technically met demand a while back they just had to catch up with back orders, which means that current supply has been beating current demand.

Immediate availability signifies the fulfillment of back-orders. This typically happens at the same time and not distinctly before, as you imply.

Also back-orders dampen true demand which isn't visible until supplies catch up and back-orders are filled. It is the appropriate moment to make the claim.
