  • Products in Apple Japan's 'Lucky Bags' Revealed

Sales for Apple Japan’s ‘Fukubukuro’ or ‘Lucky Bag’ has kicked off according to Japanese blog Mac Otakara. This event is when retail stores offer products in a grab bag at a much deeper discount, but consumers don’t know what is offered in the bag. It was noted by Mac Otakara that some consumers received big products like Apple’s MacBook Air and iPads when they were present at the Apple Store in Nagoya. The Cupertino-based company’s lucky bag was sold at $300 (36,000 Yen) this year and was offered in four different packages.

Items like Apple’s iTunes gift card, the Incase Icon backpack, the Apple TV, a 4000 mAh Mophie Powerstation external battery pack, and Beats Powerbeats2 wireless headphones were more common products in the lucky bag. Other bags had items like the fifth-generation iPod Touch in 16GB, the 16GB iPad Air 2, and the 16GB iPad Mini with other more common products. The most valuable and expensive Fukubukuro bag was Apple’s 11-inch MacBook Air with a Twelve South Plugbug dual charger and a Power Support Air Jacket.

All items received in the bag are non-refundable unless there is a defect in the product. Did you participate in Apple Japan’s Fukubukuro? If you did, what did you receive? Let us know in the comments below.

If you know you're getting a deep discount why wouldn't you buy one? You could probably sell the contents for a profit!
