  • Fiksu: App Store Downloads Set New Record This November

After the release of Apple's new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets, the App Store saw record download numbers of 7.8 million daily application downloads in October. Fiksu now reports that November was an even better month than October for the iOS App Store; the numbers now display more than 8.1 million daily application downloads.

The new 8.1 million daily download mark is a 4% gain over the previous month and a 42% gain year-over-year.

This represents the first time download volumes surpassed the 8 million mark; an increase of 4 percent over last month, and a 42 percent rise year-over-year.
Fiksu notes in their report that the Competitive Index numbers track only the downloads of the top 200 free applications in the iOS App Store, so they don't take into account the other multiple free applications in the App Store that aren't on that list.
