  • Google Wallet iOS App Updated With Touch ID Support and Many Other Improvements

Google has released an update for its Google Wallet application on the iOS platform with multiple improvements in the all-new version 8.174.19 of the application.

The update will appeal mostly to iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus users. Google Wallet now supports using Touch ID as a way to secure your payments by requiring your fingerprint to get into the application. In addition, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users will enjoy the all-new support for the larger retina HD displays.

Other improvements in this update include the ability to access loyalty cards and gift cards even when you're not connected to the Internet thanks to the new local storing of your information. Google Wallet can also now divide costs of transactions for you.

In terms of bug fixes, Google notes that this update fixes a problem that could cause the application to crash upon trying to open it from the Home Screen. So now, anyone that was having problems opening the application should be able to use Google Wallet again!

If you're an existing user of Google Wallet, you can download this update for free from the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Google Wallet for free from this App Store link.

Nope doesn't look like it. I'm assuming Apple may prevent developers from using that feature; it could be for ApplePay only.
