  • January Production Start for Apple Watch Expected, Says Report

Taiwan's United Daily News has picked up on chatter about when Apple's long-awaited Apple Watch will definitively enter production (assuming, of course, that it hasn't already).

While it's far from a solid lead directly from Apple or even the supply chain, an unnamed source apparently managed to get his or her information high enough up the chain to land some major digital ink in Asia today.

The source in question asserts that Apple Watch is now just days away from entering mass production. The start date, we're told, is in the month of January. If accurate, this start-time would likely help Apple achieve its goal of releasing the device early in the new year.

Most analysts and industry watchers believe early spring is the most likely time for an Apple Watch launch, with preorders likely commencing sometime during the month of February.
