  • Apple's iTunes Connect to Shut Down December 22nd to 29th for the Holidays

It has been reported that registered developers received an email from Apple recently saying its iTunes Connect service will be shutting down from December 22nd to December 29th for the holidays. Any new apps, in-app purchases, and app updates cannot be submitted when the service is shut down. This has been a tradition from Apple for many years now. The company has been shutting down the service to give employees a week off for a well-deserved break for the holidays.

Although iTunes Connect will be shut down, app releases and price changes will still be able to be scheduled by developers. Any changes developers need to make can be scheduled between the 22nd and 29th of December. It should be noted however, that all changes must be submitted and be approved by December 18th in order for it to be scheduled. The shutdown will include iTunes Connect, iTunes Connect for iOS, Application Loader, and TestFlight Beta Testing changes.

Apple’s iTunes Connect and App Store will resume normal operations starting December 30th
