  • FCC Reveals that Apple Will Be Releasing Beats Solo2 Wireless Headphones

It has been reported that Apple may soon be releasing their first pair of Beats headphones since acquiring the company earlier this year. A testing result for the upcoming announced Beats Solo2 Wireless headphones, were released recently by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The new headphones are said to be a Bluetooth-enabled model of the current Solo2. Beats’ Solo2 was released back in May, only a day after the Cupertino-based company had taken over the company.

According to the testing result, it seems like the wireless Solo2 will have no physical difference as the current Solo2 line and basically have the same teardrop shape. The testing document shows that the wireless headphones will have Bluetooth and BLE radios, as well as an internal battery that could be charged using a Micro USB. Apple’s Cupertino, California address was noted on the packaging sample along with the device labeling.

No pricing has yet to be announced or shown for the new Bluetooth enabled headphones. But, it is expected to be anywhere between $199 and $379 as their current Studio headphones (non-wireless) go for about $300 meanwhile the wireless ones go for $379. As for the Solo2, it currently retails for $199. Apple acquired Beats for $3 billion this year and the success of its headphones was said to be one of the biggest reasons behind the acquisition.
