  • Aaron Sorkin Discusses Steve Jobs' Biopic in Recent Bloomberg Interview

Bloomberg's Emily Chang sat down with Aaron Sorkin recently and the two talked about his upcoming Steve Jobs biopic. It wasn’t long ago we reported that the highly anticipated Academy Award winner, Christian Bale, had declined to take on previous Apple CEO’s role in the film. There was also recent reports going around saying high-profile actor Leonardo DiCaprio had also passed on the role. The biopic is said to start filming sometime in 2015. When Chang asked Sorkin why he decided on making another film on Jobs, he responded with:

I think that you could do ten more movies about Steve Jobs, and I think if you lined up ten writers and said "write a movie about Steve Jobs", you'd get ten different movies, all of them worth going to see.
Sorkin later addressed the pressures about writing the highly talked about film. He stated that it was "the same pressure that I feel when I'm writing anything...maybe with a little bit of sauce on top of pressure because he is a person that so many people have so many strong feelings about." Sorkin had apparently also met with ex-Apple CEO John Sculley, Steve Wozniak, ex-marketing chief of Mac Joanna Hoffman, and four other main characters taking part in the film. The film has faced many issues since the beginning, with the constant change in directors as well as actors. However, it has been confirmed that Danny Boyle will be directing the film, along with talks of Seth Rogen and Jessica Chastain partaking in the film as well.

Check out Bloomberg's Studio 1.0 for the full interview tonight at 8:30pm ET.
