  • CBS News Channel Lands on Apple TV

    It may just be one channel, but there's enough content here to keep you occupied and entertained for a very long time.

    On Thursday, Apple TV was updated with the freshly launched CBS News channel.

    The free channel (that's right, no subscription required), brings to Apple's streaming platform the CBSN streaming news channel just rolled out by CBS this year with much fanfare.

    Among the touted features of the network are:

    • Live, anchored coverage from 9:00 AM - midnight ET every weekday
    • Simulcasts of CBS News special reports for breaking news
    • Additional content from a range of CBS sources including CBS News, CBS affiliate stations, CNET, CBSSports.com, Entertainment Tonight and more;
    • Personal choice and control through DVR-like functionality
    • The ability to share content from the experience via social media accounts with compatible devices

      If basic over the air channels are Free if you have an antenna, then why can the networks stream the channels to Apple TV's?
