  • Christian Bale Reportedly Passed on Steve Jobs Role

We reported a few weeks ago that Christian Bale was set to play Steve Jobsí role in Aaron Sorkinís upcoming Jobsí biopic. However, a recent report from The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the Academy Award winner has left the project. It has been said that Bale felt like he wasnít the right person to play the previous Apple CEO. There are currently no replacements for the position, as everyone was looking at Bale to take on the role due to so many physical resemblances. According to the report:

Sources say Bale, after much deliberation and conflicting feelings, came to the conclusion he was not right for the part and decided to withdraw.
Bale is now the second high-profile actor to exit the project, with the first being Leonardo DiCaprio. DiCaprio was repeatedly also approached for the part but had declined in early October. The film has hit quite a few bumps with director David Fincher first leaving the project, then DiCaprio, and now Bale. It seems like the only person confirmed for the biopic is director for The Social Network film, Aaron Sorkin. Another rumor last week circulated the web saying Seth Rogan would be portraying Steve Wozniak.

Should cast Christopher Walken. He'd give it more cowbell.

At least Bale recognizes that he's not right for the role, some actors would do it anyway for the money or the fame...those are the films that end up being crappy! Hopefully they can find the right actor for Jobs!
