  • Apple's Tim Cook and Alibaba's Jack Ma Interested in Incorporating Apple Pay and Alipay

It has been recently reported that Apple CEO Tim Cook and Alibaba CEO Jack Ma have showed interest in having both companies partner and integrate Apple Pay and Alipay payment features. According to Re/code, the interest was expressed at the Wall Street Journal Digital Live conference, which was held on Monday. Chinese e-commerce Alibaba cofounder Jack Ma stated:

I'm very interested in that. I hope we can do something together.
Ma said he was interested in speaking with Cook about incorporating the two payment systems. After Mas interview, Cook took the stage and mentioned that he would be meeting with Ma some time this week. He also stated:

I have the utmost respect for Jack. We love to partner with people who are wicked smart, have flexible teams, who are product based and push us. I think Jack has a company that's exactly like that. If we can find some areas of common space, I'd love it.
Alipay from Alibaba was released many years ago in 2011, and deals with approximately 80 million transactions a day.
