  • Camera+ for iOS Updated With Lossless TIFF Support, iOS 7 Support, and More

On Monday, the highly popular Camera+ application received a major update to make the application better than ever for users. The new version of the application, 6.1, is now available in the iOS App Store for existing users under the Updates tab, or from this App Store link for those that want to download the application for the first time.

The new version brings back support for iOS 7. This is because in version 6 of the application, Camera+ stopped supporting iOS 7, forcing users to upgrade to iOS 8 if they wanted to use the latest version of the application. The developers received a bunch of negativity from users about this and in turn, they've answered the requests of their users to make it available on iOS 7 again.

In addition, Camera+ is now introducing a new Pro quality setting, which allows you to take photographs in a lossless TIFF format. This means that you'll take beautiful photographs with absolutely near-perfect quality. Since these photographs use a lossless compression, this means that the file size will be larger than your average photograph, so it's worth noting that you probably won't want to over-use this feature, or you'll be sacrificing your limited storage space rather quickly.

Last, but certainly not least, improvements to the front-facing flash have been implemented. The new front-facing flash is now automatic depending on the light around you. If the application sees that you're in a dark location, you'll get a flash, but if you're in a lighter location, you won't be flashed.

Notably, the application was offered for free for the first time in the Apple Store application. If you're interested in grabbing it, you should hop on that before the offer ends! The offer appears to end on November 16th.

To download Camera+ for free, you will need to download the Apple Store application from the App Store and visit the "Stores" tab and scroll all the way down.
