  • Official Dropbox iOS App Finally Gets iPhone 6/6 Plus Support, Touch ID Support

The official Dropbox application for iOS has been updated on Sunday with official support for Apple's latest flagship handsets the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. This means that the application finally looks good on the new retina HD displays without feeling all zoomed in.

Dropbox has also added some goodies in this update for iOS 8 users those with a Touch ID-capable device like the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, or iPhone 6 Plus (even the upcoming iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3), can now use Touch ID to unlock their Dropbox application for security instead of using a passcode. iOS 8 users also now get support for RTF (rich text format) files.

The update also adds a variety of bug fixes and stability improvements to make the application run better on all iOS 8 devices across the board.

If you're an existing user of Dropbox for iOS, this update can be had from the Updates tab in the App Store application. If you want to download the latest version (3.5) of Dropbox directly from the App Store for free, you can follow this App Store link.

To enable TouchID on Dropbox, open the app (enter your code), go to Settings->Passcode Lock and turn on TouchID.
