  • Apple to Allocate Funds to Help Female Employees to Freeze their Eggs

In recent weeks, MMi has covered reports of Apple revamping its employee benefits packages to include a comprehensive round of new perks, some of which we are discovering pertain directly to Apple's female employees.

Beginning early in 2015, Apple will pay for employees to freeze their eggs.

Joining Facebook in this effort (the social network recently began covering egg freezing) Apple's program is set to commence in January, CNBC has learned, noting that Apple will pay female employees upwards of $20,000 for this new egg freezing fertility benefit.

All told, the effort should go a long way to make Apple a more attractive employer for women who may otherwise be interested in putting their careers on hold in order to start a family.

"Egg freezing has even been described as a key to 'leveling the playing field' between men and women: Without the crushing pressure of a ticking biological clock, women have more freedom in making life choices," CNBC reports, citing a common argument by advocates.

Ridiculous. You want to have a baby? Have it now not via a laboratory. The culture of death rolls merrily on...
