  • Leaked Photo Shows A8X Chip & 2GB RAM in Apple's Upcoming iPad

We are now just one day away from Apple’s next event being held on Thursday, October 16th. This event comes a little over a month after Apple announced to the world their iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices along with the highly anticipated new feature, Apple Pay and wearable device the Apple Watch. The Cupertino-based company is expected to announce their next iPad lineup at Thursday’s event. Just recently, we reported leaked photos of parts to the dubbed iPad Air and now, a new leaked photo of the next-generation iPad Air logic board shows an A8X chip and 2GB of RAM. The photo comes from a Taiwanese blog, Apple.club.tw and shows a more in depth look at the logic board.

It looks like the new iPad Air will sport 2GB of RAM, which is twice the amount compared to current devices with only 1GB and a more powerful ability to multitask. Previous reports had claimed the same upgraded features in the past, so it may actually be the real deal. Other pictures shown include the Touch ID feature as well as a possible gold colored device to match that of the current iPhone lineup. We have to wait one more day until Apple unveils their new device, so stay tuned as we will keep you posted and updated on any new news.
