  • Demand for iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus is Off The Charts

According to the latest industry data available, Apple's gamble on a jumbo screen iPhone 6 Plus is paying off brilliantly.

New reports published Monday indicate that Apple's presumptive objective to wrestle away a bigger market share from Android in the U.S. and abroad is working. Canaccord Genuity analyst Michael Walkley revealed this morning that new survey results reveal that Apple's new iPhones "are seeing increasing demand despite reports of supply constraints."

“Despite demand currently much stronger than Apple’s ability to supply the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, we maintain our iPhone estimates,” said Walkley. The analyst expects Apple to ship 63 million iPhones during its fiscal first quarter (ending in December 2014).

"Apple is gaining material high-end market share with the price reductions in the iPhone 5s and very strong demand for the iPhone 6 models," Walkley explains.

As for how many iPhones Apple sold in the most recent quarter ending September 30th, we'll find out when Apple reports its fiscal fourth-quarter results on October 20th.

Took me just 2 days to acquire my iPhone 6+. All I had to do was routinely check my local Apple Stores' inventory. They get shipments twice a day and keep their website updated with their inventory amounts. Once I saw a store that received a shipment I immediately headed their way. Was in and out of the store in about 20 minutes. Beats the hell out of waiting for a pre-order any day. 👍

Where do you check for inventory online? When I was looking for an iPhone I would check with the nearest 4-5 Apple stores within a 30 mile radius but didn't know you could check online.

Seems that being ahead on tech doesn't mean being customer's choice or top-tier on sales.

I use istocknow.com to check Apple stores as well as carriers. That's how I got my 6 a week after launch.

I checked exactly between 10-10:30am and got mine at the Apple Store. You're probably better off checking in the morning. I've been checking for the 6+ and couldn't find one so I kept my 6.

Go to store.apple.com and select your phone, carrier, storage size and color as if you were about to buy it......at the very bottom of the page there is a small link for store pickup and it says "Check Availability". Click on that and input your zip code and it will give you the real time availability of iPhone units at your nearest retail store. It is updated by the stores everyday at 1am but I think they update it more than that because they get multiple shipments daily to their stores. You have to check frequently. If it is available and the lettering is in green then they have plenty of units in stock. If it is orange they are running low. If it's red then they have maybe a couple units left. Hope this helps.

Glad Google could help you all out. Helped out so much that even my interest in owning another iPhone has been piqued. Please don't flame me. I'm not being sarcastic. I love my iPad Mini and iPods but as far as phones go, I very much enjoyed my HTC phones and my current Note 2. Hard to choose between a 6 Plus or a rooted Note 4. I for one like the fact Apple finally made a large screen phone.
