  • Apple Pay Setup Screen Discovered in iOS 8.1 Beta 2

The latest iOS 8.1 beta 2 has revealed an Apple Pay setup screen, suggesting this feature along with the highly anticipated Mobile Payment System will be introduced in Apple’s next iOS update. Developer Hamza Sood discovered the Passbook setup screen, which asks users to input credit and debit card numbers. Sood released the photo on Twitter recently, and although it is not 100% guaranteed it will be revealed in iOS 8.1, it is however seem likely it will be rolled out soon.

The Cupertino-based company announced Apple Pay and the Mobile Payments System back in September when announcing their iPhone 6 lineup. It has been reported that approximately 220,000 locations will be incorporating Apple Pay in their systems when it debuts. The recently released picture by Sood goes hand in hand with the Apple Pay settings menu he discovered last month in iOS 8.1 beta.

Are you excited for Apple Pay and the Mobile Payment System? Let us know in the comments below.

If it works correctly, yes. My spidey sense is telling me I should wait until I hear reports of it working without any problems though... lol

I updated on 6 plus just to see what the hype is about, but still can't see the above settings in Passbook.

I'm still sore at Apple for fixing the date trick exploit. I literally use that on a daily basis. If I cant get a 6 before 8.1 comes out then I guess I'll be stuck with a 5s until a jailbreak for the 6s/7 comes out.

I'm still confused as to what the date trick was. Can someone point me to an article or explain it a bit for me?

The problem with "the trick" is that you have to do it "daily" and reinstall 'those apps'.. At 8.0.0.. You didn't,, after 8.0.2 it's daily installs as each new calendar day update breaks the app again..

Interesting... It looks as though you're correct! It won't work anymore on 8.1b2. [emoji20]

It will if you use "the trick"... But only for that 24hr period.. We didn't really think Apple was going to leave "that big" a back door open… Did we!?
