  • Adobe's Creative Cloud Suite on iOS Gets Updated with Slew of New Features

Adobe recently overhauled many of its existing iOS apps, adding several new options including Premiere Clip, a new mobile video editing app which ties into the companyís Creative Cloud platform. For those of you who didnít know, Premiere Clip is Adobeís first attempt into iOS-based video editing, a feature which can be used both independently and as a companion for the Premiere desktop app. Adobe claims that projects that are started on the drag-and-drop mobile interface will automatically be synced via Creative Cloud to Premiere Pro on a desktop.

Brush CC, which is aimed at artists, allows for the creation of custom Sketch, Photoshop and Illustrator brushes on the fly. Users will also be able to draw brushes on-screen or use their deviceís camera to capture designs sketched on paper. Similar to Brush CC, Shape CC was made for on-the-go creation of design elements. It can also be used to capture hand-drawn sketches or create new sketches from scratch. The shapes and brushes available in the app are also stored in Creative Cloud and made available on the other apps in the suite.

Along with the new apps, Adobeís existing apps were redone with enhanced Creative Cloud support that is intended to more tightly integrate Adobeís desktop and mobile offerings. Apps such as Photoshop Sketch, Photoshop Mix, Lightroom, Color CC and Illustrator Line were all updated.

It should be noted that all of the apps are free but users who donít have a Creative Cloud subscription will only have access to very limited functionality. Those of you interested in reading more about the various subscription tiers can read more about them by clicking here.
