  • Apple Seeds iTunes 12 Beta 3 to Developers and AppleSeed Members

Apple recently issued the third beta build of iTunes 12 to both developers and members of its Apple Seed program. The new iteration brings minor tweaks and backend enhancements to the media software. It doesn’t appear to contain any big changes aside from a few user interface tweaks and furthermore it seems to remain largely unchanged from the last beta build released previously in September.

When iTunes 12 launches alongside OS X 10.10 Yosemite this fall the updated software version will bring a design that fits the flat look that the matches with the operating system’s aesthetics. The media storage, purchase and playback platform will feature translucent windows, reorganized navigation bar and new library viewing options among other user interface changes.

Apple’s iTunes 12 will also be supporting several new Apple cloud service features including iOS 8’s Family Sharing which enables content sharing between up to six family members registered under the same credit card. The Cupertino California company is set to release iTunes 12 alongside OS X Yosemite this fall. Rumors currently point towards both being released sometime this October but we’ll have to wait and see.

If you are a developer or an AppleSeed member, you can download the latest iTunes 12 beta through the Software Update mechanism in OS X 10.10 Yosemite.
