It has been very surprising that China, one of Appleís major selling markets, was not on the list of first or second wave of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus releases after the new lineup was introduced. However on Tuesday, CNBC reported that the Chinese government said Apple would soon receive regulatory approval and finally get the green light in being able to sell the devices in the country. This news comes after many other countries have already had major success in selling the devices since September 19th and will be selling them to the second wave of countries starting September 26th (where China will also not take part in). Even though China has not received the green light in officially selling the iPhones in the country, it hasnít stopped citizens from selling them on the black market.

In the black market, the iPhone 6 sells for approximately $1,900 USD and the 6 Plus for about $3,200 USD. These reports come from CNBCís Eunice Yoon who also reported that Chinese citizens have been getting creative with their ways in smuggling the devices into the country. Apparently, boxes of the Chinese equivalent of Twinkies have been stuffed with iPhones after the sponge cakes are taken out. Toothpaste boxes and coffee tins have also been used to smuggle devices into the country. An official date for China to sell Appleís new popular lineup has yet to be announced, even though reports are saying the Chinese government has so far obtained one of two certificates. We canít say though that citizens of China donít have creative minds!
