  • Live Flight Tracking Company, FlightAware, Offers iPhone Pre-Order Shipment Flight Info

Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders have recently started to ship out, as expected given that the first set of pre-orders are expected to arrive on Friday, September 19, 2014. The folks over at FlightAware have created a useful tool that allows users to track the flights that carry their iPhones after receiving a tracking number. The live flight tracking website claims that users can punch in the departure scan from their UPS tracking info and their tool will match it with a departure flight to give accurate flight info.

The page on FlightAware’s site currently tracks UPS flights that are coming to the US from China along various standard flight routes for many shipping companies. Many of you who are waiting for an iPhone probably have iPhones that will be coming from the worldwide UPS air hub known as Worldport in Kentucky. The Cupertino California company appears to be using Next Day Air shipping for the majority of their pre-order iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units.

Hopefully those of you who are expecting iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus shipments to come in on launch day will be lucky enough to get you shipment earlier in the day. In some cases from previous years, certain buyers were able to get their hands on their devices even earlier due to shipping errors but it’s definitely not something we’d count on. As for those of you who haven’t pre-ordered but are still looking to get your hands on one of the iPhone 6 models, the devices will be sold in stores at store opening times. However, supplies are expected to be limited, so we’d recommend trying to hustle if you aren’t already waiting on a line.

Are you looking forward to getting your hands on an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus on launch day?

It would help if UPS would update my tracking number so I could know which flight it's on.
