  • Five Great Free Apps and Games for iOS - September 18th Edition [Video]

It has been a really busy week this week with all of the buzz about the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and iOS 8, but we still have even more to show you!

In this post, we're going to take you through five great free games and applications for iOS from the App Store to help keep you the loop of some neat free games and applications and hey; feel free to download them and give them a try!

If you missed our previous Five Great Free Apps and Games for iOS, you can head over to this link to read our September 11th edition.

    1. Real Steel

First on our list this week is Real Steel, which just made Apple's App of the Week this week. It's based off of the DreamWorks film and allows you to fight with customizable robots. Each robot has special moves and abilities that you can use against your opponent. There are plenty of challenges that you can play to test your skills, and plenty of achievements to be earned. As you complete chapters, more robots will be unlocked that you can play as. Check it out!

Real Steel can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.

    2. Plunder Pirates

Next up is a new free game called Plunder Pirates. This games is one of the first that takes advantage of iOS 8's new Metal gaming API, and this means better graphics performance in this game than you might be used to on a mobile device. In this game, you will build a pirate island and maintain it. You will then be off trying to recruit a crew, while keeping your pirate island maintained in the mean time. You will have a challenging journey set ahead of you, so check it out!

Plunder Pirates can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.

    3. Amazing Thief

Another one we think it pretty fun to play is Amazing Thief. In this game, you're a thief running across a platform, and you'll need to jump to the next platform to continue your running. There's a catch though; the next platform is either too low, too high, or too far and you'll need to time and act out your jump just right so that you get to the platform without crashing and falling to your death. When you fall to your death, it's game over and you'll have to start all over again. You will keep a high score that you can try to beat over and over again, so it's a great little game to challenge friends with. Check it out!

Amazing Thief can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.

    4. CrazyShooting

If you're into shooting at things, then you might like this one called CrazyShooting. In this game, you will be walking across a platform and you'll notice a bunch of floating boulders in the way. The only way to get them out of your way is to shoot through them and hit the red ruby at the other end of the platform. It's not as easy as it sounds though the boulders are always moving and you have to time your shots right to get your bullet to the other side. The levels get harder as you go, and you're timed, so you will be testing your patience, as well as your skills with this game. Check it out!

CrazyShooting can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.

    5. Race Team Manager

Last, but definitely not least on our list this week, is a game called Race Team Manager. In this game, you're the manager of a race team and you have to decide when the best time is to upgrade your team's car, manage the driver and mechanic relationships, and more. You call the strategies in this game, since you're the manager. There are a lot of things you can do to keep the game going, but the developers do note that it's a very fast-paced game. It also has some impressive graphics. Check it out!

Race Team Manager can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.
