  • HealthKit Bug Confirmed by Apple, Looking To Resolve by End of September

We announced earlier today that Apple was pulling all HealthKit related apps from the App Store right before the iOS 8 launch this morning, due to some issues last minute. The Health-Kit app was supposed to be a main component of iOS 8, so with the last minute problem, a significant dent was caused in being able to use the app. This morning, Brian Muller took to Twitter to let everyone know that apps were being pulled from the App Store. However, Apple themselves have confirmed that a bug was discovered in HealthKit just recently.

Apple spoke with Financial Timesí Tim Bradshaw about the situation and said that a software update would be needed in order to fix the issue. The company also stated that they were looking to have everything resolved by the end of September. Unfortunately, thatís not a promise from Apple nor is it confirmation that the apps will be re-launched by the end of the month. As already reported, iOS 8 is available for users with the newer iOS devices and will come pre-installed with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus when launched on Friday, the 19th.

I'm sure that's not the first considering they already have a .1 update ready to be released soon.
