  • Flying Drone Captures Apple's Spaceship Campus 2 Progress on Video

A new drone video recently surfaced the web, this time with a focus on the Cupertino-based company's Apple Campus 2. One YouTube user used a GoPro Hero 3+ and recorded a video on Apple’s new “Spaceship” campus that’s still in the works. The video is 8-minutes long and shows the progression of the campus. Previous Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, first announced the second campus back in 2006. Reports have since been circulating the web, talking about how massive of a campus this one will really be.

Currently, the spaceship site is blocked off with high walls covering the campus so pictures can’t be taken at street level. This YouTuber went above and beyond, literally, with a Go-Pro equipped drone and was able to get aerial shots of the campus. The project has had quite the progression since images were last seen in July. The size of the campus seems like one that has not been exaggerated upon in reports. Apple is said to complete the Spaceship Campus 2 sometime in 2016.

I am impressed by the technology used to capture the video, and by the building itself. I wish I can own a house a couple blocks away from that building. Awesome video! Thank you for sharing.

This thing is going to look amazing when it's done. That's a shame Steve Jobs is not around to see it.
