  • Bloomberg Seconds Claim Regarding Debut of the iWatch on September 9th

It was just yesterday that Re/code announced to the world that Apple would be introducing the highly anticipated wearable device, dubbed the iWatch, at it’s September 9th event. Now, Bloomberg is claiming the same thing and saying the Cupertino-based company will be debuting two iPhones as well. Re/code claimed that Apple was going to debut the iWatch at an event in October, a different event from the upcoming September 9th one, but decided against it. Bloomberg on the other hand, is stating that if Apple introduces the device alongside the iPhone, consumers will think of it as an accessory and not a device on its own. This way, the expectation for the wearable device won’t be as high. According to Bloomberg,

Apple will give the new wearable a boost by pairing its debut with its flagship product, the iPhone. The company also may be trying to manage expectations for the new device, signaling that it's more of an accessory instead of a category that stands by itself. By contrast, when the iPad was introduced in 2010, Apple held a special event just for that product.
Apple CEO Tim Cook and iTunes chief Eddy Cue have been saying very positive things in regards to the upcoming product lineup. Cook has stated that the upcoming lineup will have some “really great stuff” and Cue has stated that it will be the ‘best product pipeline’ in the last 25 years. It has been months now that Apple’s wearable device has been circulating the Internet. However, there has not been any leak on the device, unlike the upcoming iPhone 6. This may suggest that the iWatch has not yet gone into production, whereas the next generation iPhone has.

Are you guys excited for the highly anticipated September 9th event? Which product are you looking forward to? Let us know in the comments below.

I'm stoked, and must/will have one! Why? Because I'm a fanboy and because I throw money at apple like its growing in my backyard.

I'm more excited for this and a new Apple TV than I am a new phone. Sadly, we all know Apple isn't going to debut so many products at once. With the iPads getting a refresh and the iPods as well, I don't know what's going to be talked about at this conference other than a phone.
