  • More Reports Claim iWatch Launch Date Won't Be Until 2015

A report was released by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo this week stating that the Apple iWatch would not be launched until 2015. Supposedly, some manufacturing problems were associated with the wearable device. Kuo’s report is now supported by Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, translated by G for Games, which also states that the iWatch won’t be launched until early 2015. Those who were anticipating the new iWatch may have to wait a few more months if these reports are true.

According to the reports, the assembling of the iWatch is supposed to start in September and the Cupertino-based company is asking for hardware components in order to do so. However, sources say it will take many months before the final product can be released to the public due to manufacturing refinement. Source are also claiming that the prolonged and limited production process may force Apple to release the iWatch in limited quantities.

We’ll just have to wait and see what Apple’s plans are for the wearable device. Hopefully they will make some sort of official announcement soon.

Rumors stacked over rumors. Best part is deniability!

Well, they can kind of take as long as they like...I don't hear anyone rip roaring about their Android watch. Apple wants to get it right. I guess that takes time.

The longer they take the less buyers there will be as if people want something they go get it and now there are a few watches already available so people go get them and like them so why would they buy another watch that probably wont work with their phone anyway?

Everyone I know has moved from iPhones to Android and whats the bet the iWatch wont work with Android it'll be iPhone only so its already limited lots of people.

I got a Galaxy Gear and really happy with it. I'm interested in what the iWatch will bring but it'll be more to laugh at it than anything else.

And everyone I know that has switched to Android promptly switched back. See how "everyone I know" means nothing? I have wanted a smartwatch for over a year now. Finally broke down and bought a Pebble in January; I hated it, it was terrible. Cant see how that was classified as smart. So I am more than willing to wait for Apple to get it right, and Im not alone.

Edit - And yes, I think it's clear that the iTime or whatever will be iOS only. Why would Apple make an Android watch?
