  • Production Dilemma Reportedly Strikes iWatch

According to knowledgeable sources close to Apple's production partners in Asia, there's a good reason why we haven't yet seen legitimate leaked pictures of the long-rumored iWatch.

    It hasn't been made yet.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told investors Tuesday that it wouldn't come as a major surprise to him if Apple was compelled to scrap plans to launch iWatch in the next two months and, instead, delay iWatch's arrival until early 2015.

“We reiterate our view that iWatch, as compared to existing products, and as Apple’s (US) first attempt at a wearable device, represents a much higher level of difficulty for the company as regards component and system design, manufacturing and integration between hardware and software,” Kuo writes.

It should be noted, of course, that Kuo has proven himself to be a consistent source for reliable Apple news and rumors over the years. Consequently, his two cents add up to a valuable take on the state of affairs across Apple's production assembly lines.

“While we are positive on iWatch and believe that the advantages of the design and business model behind it are difficult to copy, we think, given the aforementioned challenges, that the launch could be postponed to 2015,” Kuo concludes.

Apple is still expected to unveil iPhone 6 on September 9th.

These analysts will say anything to keep relevant.
They haven't started production yet for the same reason they didn't start production of the iPhone and iPad before announcement. So the design and features do not leak before they reveal them. It's the only way to somewhat guarantee someone doesn't leak something. That's the only reason the iPhone and iPad refresh leak every year. They put it into production so they can release it a week after announcement. That won't happen with the iWatch there will be somewhat of a delay.

All this talk and still no pic's of supposed prototype parts or anything to help prove this is even really a possibility.
