  • Notice the New Channels on Your Apple TV Today?

On Tuesday, once again without much fanfare, Apple quietly updated the offering on channels on its hugely popular streaming entertainment platform, Apple TV.

The newest content partners to team up with Apple and provide dedicated channels to the Apple TV are CNBC and Fox. However, if you're not a cable TV subscriber, you won't be able to access the full array of content from the channels.

With each new content offering refresh, consumers gain not only a larger pool of content from which to choose, but develop a closer relationship with their Apple TV. This, of course, is both good and bad for Apple. Although a few new channels every so often helps keep things "fresh" for Apple TV users, the set-top box's popularity is now such that consumers wants more -- much more.

Apple, as we know, hasn't refreshed the hardware for Apple TV in well over two years now. And the pressure is on Apple to do more with the next update. Specifically, users are clamoring for an update that will allow the downloading and usage of apps on the Apple TV.

Agreed. The seems like yet another attempt to try to delay the inevitable as they continue to fall towards complete obsolescence.

Hi, are you new to apple products? Lol #noob just joking don't get mad.

To clear things up, the Apple TV was release first to easy stream videos pictures etc(from iTunes) to any room instead of moving your computer around. Adding channels is just an extra right now don't expect too much until a real release is out 👍
