  • Apple Begins its 2014 Back to School Promotional Event

On Tuesday, Apple has begun its annual Back to School promotional event for college students and instructors. The promotional event allows college students to purchase Macs and iOS devices with additional perks, including a lowered educational cost for the device and a complementary Apple Store gift card.

If you're a college student and you're in the market for a new Mac, you can save anywhere from $50 to $300 on your purchase. Apple is knocking up to $50 off of MacBook Air purchases, up to $100 off of MacBook Pro purchases, up to $100 off of iMac purchases, and up to $300 off of Mac Pro purchases. Apple will also mail you a $100 Apple Store gift card to go along with your new Mac purchase.

The promotion also extends to Apple's iOS device lineup...

If you're in the market for an iPad, you can save anywhere from $20 to $30. Apple is knocking $30 off of iPad Air purchases, $20 off of iPad with retina display purchases, $20 off of iPad Mini with retina display purchases, and $20 off of iPad Mini purchases. Apple isn't discounting iPhone pricing, though. Apple will also mail you a $50 Apple Store gift card to go along with your iPad and/or iPhone purchase.

The promotional pricing is available online at this Apple Store link, as well as in any of Apple's retail stores.
