  • Foxconn Boosts Hiring Ahead of Next Month's iPhone 6 Production

One of Apple's key production partners, Foxconn, is purportedly gearing up for July's mass production of Apple's next-generation flagship smartphone, the eagerly anticipated iPhone 6.

According to published reports surfacing Monday, Foxconn is boosting its labor force by a staggering 100,000 persons to meet the production demands that await next month. Although Foxconn will bear the burden of the production's bulk, Pegatron - which will handle approximately 30% of the iPhone 6 orders - is said to be similarly boosting the size of its workforce, although it isn't known by how much.

If Taiwan's Economic Daily News report is accurate, Foxconn and Pegatron may be jointly responsible for the biggest job creation surge witnessed in China in years. And if global product demand exceeds global product supply (which is usually the case with a new iPhone release), there's a good chance many of these jobs will be lasting, and not just fleeting employment opportunities for laborers in China.

Although there's ample debate as to when iPhone 6 will drop, analysts largely believe we won't see the new device until at least September.

I am waiting patiently for the next iPhone release. Will grab the 4.7' instead of the the 5.5', but, will wait until they release the 5.5' afterwards and see how it will feels in my hand.....

No, Since 2011, Apple released the iPhone on September 20th or 21st. It's not changing this year. I predict September 19th.
