  • New Cars, Racemode, and Tracks in Apple-Highlighted iOS Toy Anki Drive

The lineup of iOS-compatible intelligent toy race cars, Anki Drive, has expanded recently with new cars, tracks, and a new race model. Existing Anki Drive owners are able to upgrade their cars with new artificial intelligence programming and the new update has a new Race Mode to play session that allows the first driver who reaches 15, 30, or 45 laps to win.

New features can be activated after updating the official Anki Drive app, which is available in the iOS App Store. A few different features in version 2.2.0 include a boost support item, in-game scoreboard, various bug fixes, and improved in-game setup. The Anki Drive family has also received two new vehicles, Corax- dubbed the ‘ultimate warrior’ with many weapon mount options, and Hadion- a built for speed vehicle with Turbo Boost. Each of the vehicles go for $69.

The company has announced that the new cars and tracks will be available at Anki’s website on top of in “select retail stores” in the upcoming weeks, possibly to Apple retails stores as well as Amazon. When it was launched last year, only Apple’s own retail stores had selling exclusivity rights.
