  • AT&T Discounts Single-Line Data Plans for its Customers

AT&T recently said that its customers can take advantage of cheaper single-line data plans. Going forward, 2 GBs of high-speed 4G data will set users back $65 per month, which represents a $15 savings compared to the cost of the previous plan. The plan includes 50 GBs of cloud storage as well as unlimited international messaging and calling. An additional line can be added for $25 per month.

For those of you who didnít know, a month ago, the carrier slashed the prices of its Mobile Share family plans. As a nice bonus, the new plans can be combined with AT&Tís existing promotion offering a $100 bill credit to new and existing customers who add a new line of service through March 31, 2014.

AT&T reminded everyone that it recently added unlimited international messaging (including text, picture and video) to all Mobile Share Value plans for no additional cost. The offer includes messages sent from the United States, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands to more than 190 countries for text messages and 120 countries for picture and video messages.

The wireless carrier also just rolled out its new LTE Advanced network in Chicago as well. The LTE Advanced bonds two separate 4G networks using a technology called carrier aggregation to achieve a big boost in download speeds. The three times faster LTE Advanced is also in the cards for T-Mobile.

      LOL yeah,

I went to At&t store because I pay 257 amonth for 4 Iphones with family 700 min and 3 with 3gb and I had unlimited Data unlimited text all

So new plan is to be 100 for 10gb and 15 a month per phone to equal 160 before taxes

      It did not work

my Bill this month was 290!

After waiting 20 min to talk to customer service they said they had no idea what happened but next month the bill will be correct and I will be charged 40 for each phone with a 25 credit for each phone. this would seem to equal 15 a phone but I'm waiting to see the tax because it should be based on 15 not 40 a phone this is 6.50 difference

Saving 800 a year at least

Will At&t screw this up? Probably

AT&T is quick to credit you. Shows how much they make off of you.

They're making it more and more enticing for us Unlimited customers to let go of that grandfathered plan. At this point the cost is about the same for me, given my data habits. And having no throttled connection + the ability to tether without fear/breaking the contract is tempting.

But...I think I'll hang on to Unlimited until they make me give it up.

Chart is deceiving because there is an additional $40 per month for the "mobile share value iphone with visual voicemail".

Be careful with this new plan because when you sign up for the $15 per phone and 10gb, when you upgrade you have the option to enter the Next plan, buy new phone at unsubsidized price, or renew for 2 years and your cost goes back up to $40/phone for 10gb. The reps give you a different story and they charged me the normal price because they said my billing had ended but the rep said it did not. I ask specific questions with AT&T because you always get a different story. Their solution is to pay $90 more and they will adjust next billing cycle. I'll calculate taxes on $165 and pay that amount until the adjustment comes through. AT&T is notorious for billing incorrectly and always want to credit you. The money can be used for another bill (internet).

I went from the old Family Share Plan (3 lines with 10GB) to the new one and my bill should be about $40 less this month so I'm happy.
