  • China Mobile Prepping Ad Materials for iPhone Launch

If you think Apple's record-breaking sales of 9 million iPhones was impressive for a single opening weekend, just wait until the juggernaut smartphone lands on the world's largest mobile network.

According to intensifying chatter out of the far east this morning, China Mobile - the world's most expansive mobile operator with 700 million subscribers - is actively preparing advertising materials for the launch of Apple's new iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S.

China's Sina Tech suggests that the carrier is gearing up for an advertising push unlike anything previously witnessed. If so, the sales impact for Apple could be staggering.

The only downside to this reality - if you even want to call it a downside - is that Apple's supply problems could go from bad to worse once millions of Chinese consumers escalate demand for the new iPhones to a level never before experienced by the Cupertino-based tech giant.

“The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we’ve sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly," Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, stated Monday morning. "We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone.”
