  • Apple Shows Its 'Power' with MacBook Air Refresh

Phil Schiller showed off the new MacBook Air today, which delivers "all-day" batter life.

As expected, it comes with Intel's latest Haswell ultra-low voltage processors and 802.11ac for insanely fast Wi-Fi connectivity.

It's also now possible for users to watch almost the entire trilogy of Lord of The Rings on one charge, Schiller said during the WWDC 2013 keynote. That's right, there is 9 hours of battery life with the 11-inch model and 12 hours with the 13-inch model.

Incredibly, the machine - which can wake up in just 1 second and run on standby for 30 days - delivers up to 40% faster graphics to go along with the dramatically improved power management capabilities.

These devices adhere to Energy Star 5.2 and other environmentally-responsible guidelines put forward from across the green-tech space.

These new models begin shipping today. The 128GB model runs $999 while the 256GB alternative is priced at $1199.
