  • AT&T Introduces 4G LTE Coverage to Additional Locations

As a part of AT&T's efforts to gradually make the carrier's national 4G LTE cellular network coverage better, AT&T has Wednesday morning announced that their 4G LTE cellular coverage is now available in several new locations throughout the United States.

The new locations that AT&T subscribers can now access 4G LTE data speeds include:

    • Asheville, North Carolina
    • Camano Island, Washington
    • Culpepper, Virginia
    • Dover, Delaware
    • Goldsboro, North Carolina
    • Leonardtown, Maryland
    • Longview , Washington
    • North Whidbey Island, Washington
    • Ocean City, Maryland
    • Port Townsend, Washington
    • Roanoke , Virginia
    • Shelton, Washington

4G LTE offers a theoretical download speed of about 100Mb/s; however, due to the realities of network congestion, the download speeds on 4G LTE in real life situations are more or less about 20-60Mb/s.

Many of Apple's latest devices, including the iPhone 5, iPad Mini, and iPad with retina display can take advantage of 4G LTE data speeds on AT&T's cellular network.
