Hey, I've read some of your comments on other peoples posts and I think you would be able to help me.
I have a 16G iPod Touch and today I plugged it into the computer and I tried to update the software. Now I'm stuck on the connect to iTunes screen and everytime I try to reset and think I'm getting somewhere, the "Found New Hardware" Wizard appears asking me to insert a disc, which I dont have, hence I get a message telling me my hardware isnt working properply. Really worried and any help would be much appreciated.
So are you trying to jailbreak 2.0.2 or 2.0.1? QuickPwn (the latest version) works with 2.0, 2.0.1, and 2.0.2, but you device must be on that version to start. I'm not sure if the desktop is the best place for the firmware. Put it in the same folder as QuickPwn and that should help. If anything else goes awry, don't hesitate to ask help.
i need help . . im read a forum saying that i can now jailbreak a 2.0.2 ipod touch so my touch is a 2.0.2 it told me to downlaod quickpwn and i did i made sure i had itunes 7.7 which gives me the 2.0.2 the only thing is when i browse threw quickpwn to find the 2.0.1 firmware its not finding it but on my computer's desktop its sitting right there i need help figuring out how 2 let quickpwn find this firmware and do i have the wrong firmware because im not sure if the firmware i have is the one thats not jail broken which is needed for this process
