By the way, the pink battery is for my girlfriend. I'm Joe, with the ipod touch 2g on 3.1.2 fw. Kelly (carebearskizzle) is my girlfriend, with the ipod touch 3g on 4.1 fw. She don't know anything about computers, I created an account for her on her ipod, trying to download the pink battery. for some reason, safari download plugin wouldn't let her ipod download the zip from the site.
anyway, I also made a typo in her username during creation of her account.
I know a thing or two about computers, so email me at [email protected] if you want a copy of the working theme, or just follow the steps i did to get it working properly.
hopefully the @2x tag sheds some light on things and we can get some more themes optimized for 4.x fw.......The only reason I'm still on 3.1.2 is because there isn't enough out there for 4.x to make me want to upgrade yet. Many of my themes would be unavailable on 4.x........unless, maybe if I added the @2x tag to those images??? hmm.
THIS got your theme to work! However, the battery images are VERY small, and looks kind of silly. SO, I copied the folder to my desktop with WinSCP, opened each png file in paint, and resized them to 200% of the original size, saved them, and then reloaded the folder into /private/var/stash/Themes.[Some random string that isn't present on 3.1.2 firmware]/pinkbattery/Folders
NOW it looks exactly like the original but pink instead of green. Thank you for getting it as far as you did. Now that it is finished, I wouldn't mind sharing it with the community but don't know how to upload it! I could zip a copy of the file and email it to you.
your ios 4 pink battery theme does not work as is. I got it to work on my device by placing the SpringBoard.app folder inside a folder called Folders, inside the folder called pinkbattery. So, it looks like this: pinkbattery/Folders/SpringBoard.app/[all the .png files]
Not sure if the folder structure is necessary, just following the structure of a theme on my ipod with 3.1.2 firmware. After doing that I your theme STILL didn't work.
SO, after careful analysis of the ios4 files and structure of working themes, as well as system images, I decided to try naming the files as per the RETINA images, by adding "@2x" before ".png" so each file was named [email protected] or whatever, I don't remember the exact naming convention used, but yeah, add the @2x into the name.
