He's right, but you have to be in DFU mode. Which a lot of people get confused about, including me at first.
1. Put your phone in DFU mode: With iTunes on and iPhone on and connected, hold down the home and power button at the same time for 10 seconds. You should see the phone turn off and go completely black during, that's normal.
2. After 10 seconds, release the power button and keep holding the home button. Might take another 10 seconds, but you should see iTunes react by saying it's found your phone in restore mode or something like that. After you can release everything. Phone should still be all black.
3. Click shift+restore on iTunes, then pick the firmware you want from the dialog box. Download firmware from the downloads section of this site.
**If for some reason it gives you an error saying your phone can't be restored, open zibrickr, click on advanced options, then click on "boot in normal mode" This should bring your phone back up. If it doesn't, start from step 1 until your phone turns on.
4. Run zibrickr, "do it all" and your good to go.
Of course you could have gotten all this from the ziphone sticky but consider yourself lucky that I'm bored at work.Last edited by iPhoneMadness; 03-26-2008 at 10:46 AM.
