Well, after hearing all this bad stuff about ZiPhone doing irreversible stuff to the iPhone, I tried to redo the whole unlock process with iPlus. After about an hour of screwing around, I couldn't get it to work. It just repeatedly froze at the last part of the process when it says the phone will reboot. After a while I just got frustrated, and used ZiPhone again, and it worked perfect... just like every other time. I also have a 1.0.2 OTB, so the fact that ZiPhone downgrades the bootloader doesn't matter to me.
So for now at least, ZiPhone it is! BTW - I've now refurbished / unlocked my iphone at least 10 times using ZiPhone with no problems... also did my friends 1.1.2 OTB phone. I realize that it did downgrade the bootloader, but hey, it still worked just fine!If my post was helpful to you, hit the thanks button!

I Think ZipHone is the greatest and safer toolon the internet right now to do it, but there is another fact's and its that ZiPhone will become much more better with the time,

I used ZiPhone because I didn't know about iPlus. Now that I know the difference, I really wished I had used iPlus. Can someone give me a link to how to do the testpoint restore to the original 3.9 BL so that I can upgrade to 4.6BL and use iPlus so I have my options in the future? Many thanks to whoever can help.

i've used both and they're both very good tools......but, i think i'll go for iplus, only just though? i like the gui in ziphone and the little functions like putting the iphone in dfu or recovery mode without pressing any buttons on the iphone. And as for iplus, i like the fact that you can reverse the bootloader downgrade process which, once done using ziphone is irreversible!
