ziphone unlocked 1.1.4 but lost all my contacts and sms

hey guys

i restored to 1.1.4 with itunes then used ziphone 2.5 to activate jailbreak and unlock .. once that was completed i went back to itunes and itunes recognized my iphone as a new iphone ... is there anyway possible i can get my phone book and smses from a previous back up file?

then u click on restore it ask before restore you want to take backup or not i think u just ignore that msg :P thatz why it happen

i have a similar problem,...i have all the contacts added but in the sms app, it dosent show the name of the ppl that send me messages(even though teyre added in my contacts) just the numbers...and i dont know ppls numbers...i want to solve this! any help?

Did you guys do a Sync before doing a restore to 1.1.4, Check in itunes Edit->Preferences->Syncing
You should find your previous iPhone backed up from your last sync.

Anyway, what I did before I went to 1.1.4 was Sync first and then restored.
After restart of iphone, itunes acknowledges it as a new phone and gives me two options: 1) Set up as a new iphone or 2) Restore from previous backup and then I picked option 2 and selected the profile to restore to.

If you didnt get that message, unplug the iphone from the comp, reset the iphone to factory settings by iphone Settings->General->Reset->Erase All Content and settings.
Replug back to computer, iTunes will then recognize it as a new iphone and you should get the msg from before and choose the other option.

Not sure why u guys arent getting sms' though, coz after restore I had everything back except my applications and music/vids.
