yeah, restore. That'll put you on 2.1, and then you can jailbreak & unlock with quickpwn.

If your 1.1.4, you definetely have the 2g.

Yes, you need to restore from DFU. And either upgrade the firmware cause 2.1 is way better (buts its personal preference, you can stay at 1.1.4) or restore to 1.1.4.

Then, jailbreak again. Dont use ziphone if you upgrade though.

which way of jailbreaking do you suggest other than ziphone

do i just hit restore in itunes or do the "shift" and then select 1.1.4 firmware

Just upgrade straight to 2.1 -> "Upgrade"

Then use either Pwnage or Quickpwn for the jailbreak (search em, there on here)

it all depends man, if you're happy with 1.1.4, then just shift restore and unlock the way you did before. If you want to upgrade then you'd need quickpwn to jailbreak it. Google it.

bah.. You never get tired of beating me, hunh?

Leave it at Itunes8....if your going to firmware 2.1, older versions of itunes wont recognize that firmware....

And even if your not....you can still use Itunes8
