I have a unlocked 8gb 1st gen iphone on tmobile network. I want to upgrade to the lastest firmware to get the neat apple store apps. What is the easiest one click way to do so? THanks.

I had a 1.1.4 unlocked and jailbroken with Ziphone. I simply downloaded Quickpwn, got the 2.1 firmware and downloaded itunes 8.

I then did not virginize nothing! Updated itunes to 8.0 and rebooted.

Backed up my iphone and synced

restored to 2.1

Ran quickpwn, follow the instructions it tells you the keys to press to get DFU mode while it waits - neat!

within 5 minutes I had Cydia and unlocked and jailbroken 2.1.

Restarted itunes (quickpwn kills it when it needs to) and restored backup and synced.

Put back in my apps I use like mobileterminal, openssh, toggle ssh and its all happy with my SMS, call history the works!

you're absolutely right, I've tired it today and every thing is cool, the iphone is working probably.

I have download bunch of file and had spent endless hours reading the post and I still could not get it to work..I don't know what to do...I really need instruction steps by steps if possible. hey guys, kinda new at this stuff. I had my 1.1.4 iphone unlocked by a cellphone store and i want to upgrade to to 2.2 or at least 2.0. How can i do that and keep my contacts and stuff with restoring? sorry if it seems like a dumb question. i've spend over four hours trying to find the answers but none seem clear to me

hi guys i am woring on windows xp home edition i cant get quick pwn to open afteri followed the toturiol actually i cant even get itunes to open the 2.2 firmware suggessted on i clairified, can someone hep new to this more famiiar with roms and windows mobile the iphone is more interesting please help this ziphone that it was unlocked with has no app store or anything and is on 1.1.4. someone please have some patience for a noob. every time try to open quickpwn i get :The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135) click ok to terminate application:

guys... i was facing same problem while using iclarified tutorial....
Then i used tutorial provided on simonblog.... its a very easy step-by-step tutorial.... i followed it blind eyes....

I had 1st gen iphone with 1.1.4 firmware... & now 2.2 firmware
