i made sure to kill itunes helper before i ran the ziphone and i still had the same problem.

This GUI doesnt seem to be working for me. Ziphone via terminal works fine but this isnt working on 7.6 or 7.4.2 iTunes... Just my thoughts, though it looks pretty, not working for me...

Downloaded the OSX version and clicked "free my iphone". After about 15 minutes I finally gave up and tried to restore my iphone back to its factory state. It said error 2001. After trying almost everything to restore it, I finally figured out what to do. Held down power and home buttons until I got the "plug into itunes" symbol (while iphone was still connected via usb). Restarted my Imac. Itunes opened automatically and says that it has found an iphone in restore mode. From that point I simply clicked restore and everything went perfectly. Once again I tried the new ZIphone with the exact same result. I did exactly as described above and I was able to fully restore my iphone again. Hope this helps out everyone who thinks their iphone is bricked.

The OSX GUI on ijailbreakme.com works. Did it earlier with no problems. 4.6 bootloader only

Yeah, I used that one after spending a half hour trying to restore my phone. It worked like a charm.

THIS ONLLYYYYYYYYYYYYY WORKS FOR 4.6!
it works for newest itunes + intel mac.

sorry but half of u r trying to do all kinds of stuff with 3.9 but this program WILL NOT unlock a 3.9.

4.6 bootloader only, itunes will only upgrade your baseband and firmware, bootloader remains the same

new member and first post...

i have a week 50 1.1.2 OTB jailbroken phone and unlocked using turbosim...with this new helpful release, i can now software unlock my 1.1.2 and jailbreak as well?

please correct me if i am wrong. i am also aware that there is a software unlock already released, but i dont feel confident in carrying it out. this release makes it a lot easier for noobies like me!

Yes

, it unlocks your iphone for any gsm company sim , but i recomend to everyone to run it from the first metod (by now) , i mean from the terminal with the zibri´s ziphone , it take just to type no more than 10 caracters (./ziphone -X) and its all done in 2.5 minutes , and its easyer and faster than the first metod thru installer.app , no need to downgrade , oktoprep , update , jailbreake , etc. etc. etc. , it works on OSX and in winxp , i test it on both yesterday with 3.9 (everything but unlock because its no possible) and 4.6 BL all features

Its easy to know , just check you serial number on the back of your iphone and the 4th and 5th number will tell u what BL u have , (44 or less , your BL is 3.9 and if it 45 or higher your BL its 4.6). The only way you can have a 4.6 BL on a 44 or less its just if your iphone its refubished (sorry for my bad english).

Another way its installing via installer on the iphone an app called Baseband info 1.1 , it tells you everything (BB, FW version , BL , etc. )

You can jailbreak it but to unlock it u will need *nysim 1.3 , because it only unlock 4.6 BL basebands, in other words it only sim unlocks 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 OTB 4.6 BL iphones

Jailbreak and activate on 3.9 works too , unlock on 3.9 bl as we all know its not possible yet.

you can use the program with 1.1.1 otb iphones.
just update via itunes 7.6 to 1.1.3 and then run the prog only with "jailbreak" and "activate" marked.
after this, download anysim 1.3 and unlock your phone (i have bl 3.9).
this worked for me like a charme

p.s. i´m not responsible for any malfunction of your iphone if you follow my instructions
