Erasing Baseband Question Please Help

Can anyone help me, I upgraded my iPhone to firmware 2.0 but now I want to go back to 1.1.4, I saw a tutorial that uses the patched ZiPhone to erase the baseband then use iTunes to go back to 1.1.4 but I want to know if this will void my warranty on my iPhone.
