Ziphone = evil?

I have used Ziphone forever, and never thought I had problems. After reading a bit, everyone says that Ziphone is bad. So, I bought a mac yesterday, and decided I might as well fix my phone. Can someone explain exactly why Ziphone is bad? Also, what program do you guys recommend(mac user)? All I need to do is jailbreak, since I use ATT.

heres what I plan to do.

DFU RESTORE to 1.1.4
Reinstall Back up data from itunes
Use another program to jailbreak.

Is that all I have to do to revive my phone from the evils of Ziphone?

ziphone is called evil for the way it UNLOCKS, not jailbreaks.

it does the job (NICELY) as long as you DON'T UNLOCK!

RE-LOCKING a ziphone unlocked phone is not pretty!

PS Mac user, Ziphone user, happy at&t iPhone user.

Dude, the jailbreak is the most dangerous part.

At the thread owner: a restore should be ok.
