how to upgrade to iliberty etc from Ziphone

Ok my phone has been running a little slow and crashing every now and then.
I'm running 1.1.4 unlocked via ziphone. from what i've read, Ziphone is not that safe and can cause damage to the phone itself.

anyway I'm wanting to get my iphone as far away from Ziphone as possable.
the phone was orginally 1.02 and it's been upgraded since to 1.1.1,1.1.2,1.1.3 and now on 1.1.4 using Ziphone.

what is the best process to go back to a locked phone etc and then froward to a unlocked 1.1.4 via pwnage or i liberty .

if any one has made any similar posts links would be appreciated.

You can try this:

1. Connect to your computer, hold the power and home buttons down (the iphone will power off after about 10 seconds, but keep holding both buttons down)
2. As soon as the iPhone powers off, (black screen) release the power button (but keep holding the home button down). (If you see the apple logo or connect to itunes logo you are not in DFU mode so try it again)
3. After about 20 seconds or so, Itunes should see your iphone. It is now safe to release the home button, and your iPhone is in DFU mode.
Now iTunes should ask you to restore its firmware.

Restore to 1.1.4 and jailbreak with iliberty+
