some advice
Hello All,
Well recently my iphone 1.1.4 ziphoned has been acting up. What i mean is it started to freeze, sometimes I can nt get out of mail to the main springboard or I cannt access the phone or ipod.....etc The only way to fix the issue is holding the home and power button until it resets and then start allover again.
I plan on restoring it, so my question is:
Do I restore via itunes back to original state then unlock/jailbreak again via Ziphone or is there another safer way?
I dont want a brick.
Your advice is greatly appreciated

If the phone is really slowing down, and you can't pinpoint the source, stick it in DFU mode, restore and unlock/jailbreak the file system with iLiberty+, as zIphone is known to downgrade your baseband.

is there away like an activity monitor to see what program is running in the background?do the iPhone programs act like their counter parts on the MacBooks, what i mean is for example if you are running safari on ur MacBook and close it by clicking on the x at the corner of the window even though the window disappears safari is still running in the background, you actually have to quit it to exit it completely. So i am wondering if there is something that running in the background that's slowing down my phone. You said pinpoint how can I do that?

You can see, and kill, the active processes with SYSinfo from Robota Sofware House. Look for a suspicious process and kill it. Then check the phone performance. You can look also for active daemons on /Library/LaunchDaemons
(sorry for my siouxglish) ;-)

this might be a stupid question, if i do restore the phone will i loose all my music/pictures and all my notes?
most important to me is the info i have in my Notes, is there a way to sync it to my apple macbook so that its saved and them resync it back onto my phone after restoring it? I really dont want to type all my stuff allover again?
